Ursuline College Sponsors High School Writing Contest
High school students with a flair for writing are encouraged to enter Ohio Writes for Tomorrow, a creative writing competition sponsored annually by the Ursuline College School of Arts and Sciences.
Students must be registered in an Ohio high school (including home school) in grades 9-12. Entrants must submit a paper copy of original literary work (no e-mail or disc submissions accepted). Students may submit either one prose piece or one to three poems. Prose entries should not exceed 1800 words and poetry should be no more than 40 lines. Entries will be judged on the basis of originality, creativity, writing quality and style.
Winners will receive a cash award and a book prize. In addition, all winners and their families will be invited for dinner at the College on November 14th followed by a performance by Ursuline student writers.
