Sophomore standout Jessica Dingman qualified for the NAIA National Cross Country Championships to be hosted on November 22 in Kenosha, WI. Dingman (Burton, OH) ran a time of 20 minutes 15.4 seconds and finished in 18th place to make it into the National Championship Meet. She will be one of 6 individuals and 3 teams which will be representing the American Mideast Conference at the National Championships.
Jess has had a very successful year running a lifetime personal best of 18 minutes 09 seconds over 5,000 meters earlier this year at Allegheny. She was elected as team captain by her peers for her hard work and dedication. Dingman is a true representative of what a person who works hard and dedicates themselves to running can accomplish.
Coach Badway had the following to say, “She accomplished all of this because of her willingness to commit to a dream. Jess goes out to every practice and gives it her all. She deserves all the credit for accomplishing this monumental feat.”
