The Distinguished Nursing Alumnae Award Reception - February 26, 2009
The bi-annual Distinguished Nursing Alumnae Award was held this past February in the Pilla Learning Center. The award was instituted in 1995. It was established to honor nursing alumnae from Ursuline or St. John College who have advanced the profession by serving the special distinction through education, practice or research. This year the recipients were Ethlyn McQuenn Gibson '84 and Vida Cyvas Lock '75SJ. Over 60 people attended to celebrate these accomplished women.
An Evening with Journalist Connie Schultz - March 31, 2009
Pultizer Prize winning Plain Dealer columnist Connie Schultz joined Ursuline~St. John College alumnae and friends to encourage women to Raise Your Voice. Schultz's talk focused on the significance all women have when they share their stories. The Saint Cecilia Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting and promoting music education in the Catholic community, provided music for the event. Over 240 alumnae, friends, faculty and staff attended the event.

Ursuline & St. John College alumnae gathered in Baltimore, MD for the Baltimore Symphony Decorators’ Showhouse in April. Over 30 alumnae and friends of the College enjoyed a tour of the home, lunch overlooking the Baltimore skyline and updates from Sr. Diana Stano, OSU.
